A tool for disclosure of sustainability-related information aligned with the ISSB’s IFRS S1 and IFRS S2.
The International Sustainability Standards Board (ISSB), Financial Reporting Council of Nigeria (FRCN), and NGX Regulation Limited (NGX RegCo) are organizing a 3-day workshop/webinar in preparation for the imminent release of the ISSB’s first two IFRS Sustainability Disclosure Standards, better known as IFRS S1 and IFRS S2.
These documents are based on the principles, concepts and indicators of existing sustainability frameworks and standards used voluntarily in many jurisdictions globally, including the TCFD Recommendations and the SASB Standards.
This webinar series will explore the basic concepts underpinning the SASB Standards, highlighting how these were developed to facilitate cost-effective industry-based disclosure by preparers that yields decision-useful information for investors. The series will also highlight how companies and investors are using the SASB Standards around the world while pointing companies to practical tools to get started.
The series will include industry-specific sessions to explore how the SASB Standards apply to the oil & gas, telecommunications, financials, food and beverage and consumer goods industries and sectors

Executive Secretary/ Chief Executive Officer Financial Reporting Council of Nigeria
Ambassador Shuaibu Adamu Ahmed
Amb. Shuaibu Adamu Ahmed was inaugurated by the Honourable Minister of Industry, Trade and Investment, Otunba Adeniyi Adebayo, CON as the Executive Secretary/CEO of the Financial Reporting Council (FRC) of Nigeria on Thursday, May 6, 2021.
He attended King’s College, Lagos and the prestigious Ahmadu Bello University, Zaria. He is also an alumnus of the Kennedy School of Government, Harvard University, USA. He is a Fellow of both the Institute of Chartered Accountants of Nigeria and Association of Chartered Certified Accountants (UK).
Amb. Ahmed was between 1997 and 1999 at Ahmed Zakari & Co., an indigenous audit and business advisory firm based in Kano, which he co-founded in 1997 with Zakari Ismaila, a former ICAN President.
He was also a Director on the Board of Zenith Pension Custodian Limited and had a distinguished career covering an eight-year period (1999-2007) in the public service where he served as Special Assistant to the Governor of Bauchi State, Special Adviser, Commissioner for Budget and Economic Planning as well as Secretary to the State Government.
He became the first Ambassador Extra-Ordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Federal Republic of Nigeria to the State of Qatar from 2012 – 2015, a position he held with distinction earning him the highest diplomatic honour of the ‘Sash of Merit’ by the State of Qatar.

Ndidi Nnoli-Edozien
Ndidi was appointed as a full-time member of the International Sustainability Standards Board (ISSB) in June 2022. Her career has been focused on building connections between business and sustainable development, working across multinational and indigenous companies, public institutions, and civil society organizations—in Africa and Europe—to initiate sustainable development initiatives.
She served as the inaugural Group Chief Sustainability and Governance Officer of Dangote Industries Limited—one of Africa’s largest manufacturing businesses—and she has also served on several boards, committees and initiatives focused on corporate culture, impact investing, sustainability reporting and governance. Ndidi is based in Frankfurt, Germany.

Ms. Tinuade Awe
Tinuade Awe is the Chief Executive Officer of NGX Regulation Limited, a subsidiary of the Nigerian Exchange Group Plc. She is also a Non-Executive Director of the Central Securities Clearing System Plc (CSCS).
She has an LL.B Degree from the Obafemi Awolowo University, Ile-Ife as well as LL.M Degrees from Harvard Law School and The London School of Economics and Political Science (LSE). She is admitted to both the Nigerian and New York Bars. She is an Associate Member of the Institute of Chartered Secretaries and Administrators of Nigeria (ICSAN), the Chartered Institute of Stockbrokers (CIS) and the Institute of Capital Market Registrars (ICMR). She is a Life Member of the Institute of Directors.
She was a member of the Senate’s Technical Advisory Committee on the Companies and Allied Matters Act (CAMA) Amendment Bill 2020. She served two terms as member of the Board of Financial Reporting Council of Nigeria (FRC). From 2017 to 2021, she served as the Chair of the FRC Board’s Corporate Governance Committee, which had Board level responsibility for overseeing the implementation of the National Code of Corporate Governance. She was also a Trustee of the Nigerian Exchange Limited’s Investors’ Protection Fund until 2021.
She was selected as one of the World Federation of Exchange’s Women Leaders for 2021. She is the recipient of The African Legal Awards 2018, General Counsel of the Year; Law Digest Africa Awards, General Counsel of the Year 2018, and Esq. Nigeria Legal Awards, General Counsel of the Year 2017. She also holds the IOSCO/PIFS-Harvard Law School Global Certificate for Regulators of Securities Markets.
Her interests include education, travelling, African art, and gender and development.
Manager, Ibero-American Relations IFRS Foundation
Arturo Rodriguez
Arturo Rodríguez has more than 15 years of experience working in the sustainability space. He currently serves as Manager for Ibero-American Relationships at the IFRS Foundation. In this position, Arturo leads efforts in the region to raise awareness among companies, investors, regulators, and other actors in the capital markets about the IFRS Sustainability Standards of the International Sustainability Standards Board (ISSB). Arturo is based in Mexico City, Mexico.

Iheanyi O. Anyahara
Dr. Anyahara has over three decades of industry experience, of which more than 20 years have been in financial reporting and management, accounting standard setting and financial reporting regulation at the Financial Reporting Council of Nigeria (FRCN), erstwhile Nigerian Accounting Standards Board. He is currently the Director/Head, Directorate of Public Sector Accounting Standards at the FRCN and Chairman of Nigeria’s Adoption Readiness Working Group (ARWG) for Sustainability Reporting. He also previously served as the Acting Executive Secretary/CEO of the FRCN, from March 1, 2020 to May 18, 2021.”.
Dr. Anyahara has played several leadership roles which include serving as a member of Inter-Ministerial Committee on National Chart of Accounts for Nigeria as well as member of the IPSAS GAP analysis Committee.He also served as the Secretary to the National Stakeholders’ Committee on the Roadmap to the Adoption of International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS) in Nigeria the committee that prepared the roadmap report which was approved by the Federal Executive Council under President Goodluck Jonathan.
Dr. Anyahara is member of several professional bodies among which are Fellow, Institute of Chartered Accountants of Nigeria (ICAN), Fellow, Association of Forensic Accounting Researchers, Certified National Accountant and Nigerian Institute of Management.
He is a regular speaker in various fora especially on financial reporting regulation and the adoption of IFRS, IPSAS, anti-money laundering, corporate governance, sustainability reporting and other financial reporting related topics. He has facilitated on: Anti Money laundering at GIABA programme in Banjul Gambia, IFRS transition in London & Ghana, Corporate Governance at Board induction programmes of NAICOM, PENCOM, NDPHC, Royal Exchange Insurance and NNDC.
Iheanyi Anyahara is a first-class honours graduate from University of Nigeria, Nsukka; he also has M.Sc. Accounting from same university and MBA Accounting from University of Port Harcourt. He holds a PhD in Accounting from Babcock University, Ilishan Remo, Ogun State. He has attended contemporary continuing education programs at Harvard Business School, the London School of Economics, the Booth Business School, University of Chicago, Chicago and Wharton Business School, University of Pennsylvania, Philadelphia.

Dianora Aria De Marco
Dianora is a Fellow at the ISSB where she works on both Climate-related Financial Disclosures (IFRS S2) and General Requirements for Disclosure of Sustainability-related Financial Information (IFRS S1). She engages with stakeholders globally to support educational efforts related to understanding the requirements of these new Standards. Prior to joining the ISSB, Dianora was as Senior Manager at Ernst & Young in the Financial Accounting Advisory Services practice, based in New York City.
She has helped some of the largest companies in the world refresh their ESG strategy, ESG governance structures, and processes and controls for ESG-related metrics. She previously held roles at Financial Executives International (FEI) and the Financial Accounting Standards Board (FASB). Dianora is a Certified Public Accountant in New York State and serves as a Board Member on the State University of New York – Oswego Foundation. Dianora is based in Frankfurt, Germany.

Corey Walrod
Corey is on the technical staff at the ISSB. Corey worked in energy finance for eleven years along the entire oil & gas value chain from reservoir to retail pump. With a broad background in investment appraisal, Treasury corporate finance and business development, he has a deep understanding of financial decision & risk analytics, global energy markets and upstream, midstream and downstream technologies.
Advising senior executives, he managed global investment banking & joint venture relationships, negotiated multi-billion dollar transactions at both corporate and project levels and provided critical economic and due diligence expertise to a variety of project design and management teams worldwide. A CFA chartholder, he earned a dual Masters of Business Administration and Public Affairs from the University of Texas at Austin with concentrations in corporate and public finance. Corey is based in London, UK.

Sam Wallace
Sam Wallace is part of the technical staff at the International Sustainability Standards Board. He engages with companies, investors, and experts to develop and drive the adoption of standards for reporting sustainability-related information to capital markets. Sam was the research lead for the Technology & Communications sector of the SASB Standards. Previously, Sam worked in policy and communications for Microsoft’s newly launched UN Affairs team, and at an agency leading communications and marketing programs for early-stage technology startups. Sam holds an MBA from NYU Stern and a BA from Williams College. Sam is based in San Francisco, United State

Jing Zhang
Jing Zhang is the Head of Climate Research at the International Sustainability Standards Board (ISSB). His role at ISSB includes responsibilities in standard-setting, market engagement, and external communications for climate-related areas. Previously, Jing was the Global Head of Quantitative Research at Moody’s Analytics, where he oversaw research and analytics globally, including the effort to quantify the financial impacts of climate change.
Jing has numerous published books and research papers on financial risk, including his latest book by Risk Publications, “Climate Change: Managing the Financial Risk and Funding the Transition.” Additionally, Jing serves as the Board Chair of Hack the Hood, a nonprofit organization dedicated to promoting economic mobility for the under-represented youth of color. Jing is based in San Francisco, United States.

Keertana Anandraj
Keertana Anandraj is part of the technical staff at the International Sustainability Standards Board. She works on standards research across sectors, with a particular focus on the Food & Beverage Sector.
Previously, Ms. Anandraj has worked as a Financial Analyst for a gender-lens impact investment firm conducting research on public equities at the intersection of environmental sustainability and racial equity. Prior to that, she began her career as a Research Associate on the Global Macro Team at Franklin Templeton Investments, assisting with the development of their sovereign ESG Index. Keertana is based in San Francisco, United States.
